Privacy Policy for Tab Master
Last Updated: December 8, 2025
DNA Media ("we," "our," or "us") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting it through our compliance with this policy. This Privacy Policy describes the types of information we may collect from you or that you may provide when you use the Tab Master Chrome Extension (the "Extension"), available at https://tabcloud-90edb.web.app, and our practices for collecting, using, maintaining, protected, and disclosing that information.
1. Information We Collect
We collect data to provide the synchronization and tab management features of the Extension. The data is categorized as follows:
A. Personal Information (Account Data)
When you log in via Google Sign-In or email registration, we collect:
- Email Address: Used for authentication and unique user identification.
- Profile Information: Your display name and profile picture (if provided by Google) to display in the user interface.
- User ID (UID): A unique identifier generated by Google Firebase Authentication.
B. User Content (Synced Data)
To provide the core functionality of saving and syncing tabs across devices, we collect and store:
- Browser Tabs & History: URLs, titles, and favicons of the tabs you explicitly choose to save into Collections.
- Bookmarks: If you enable "Browser Bookmarks" sync, we access your browser's bookmark tree to display and organize them within the Extension.
- Collections & Spaces: The structure, names, and ordering of your organized folders.
C. Technical Information
- Extension Settings: Your preferences (e.g., theme, sorting options, active space).
- Connection Data: IP address and user agent may be processed briefly by our cloud provider (Firebase) to establish a secure connection.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
- Core Functionality: To save your tabs and collections and restore them on demand.
- Synchronization: To sync your data between different computers where you are logged into Tab Master using Firebase Realtime Database.
- Authentication: To verify your identity and secure your data using Firebase Authentication.
- Sharing (Optional): If you use the "Share Collection" feature, we generate a unique public link containing the specific collection data you chose to share.
3. Third-Party Services and Data Storage
We do not sell your data. We use trusted third-party service providers to operate the Extension:
Google Firebase (Google LLC): We use Firebase for:
- Authentication: To manage secure user logins.
- Realtime Database: To store your encrypted collections, settings, and user profile data in the cloud (Europe-West1 Region).
- Hosting: To serve the application assets.
See Google's Privacy Policy.
4. Permissions Usage
The Extension requires specific permissions to function. Here is why we ask for them:
- tabs: Required to access the title and URL of open tabs to save them into collections.
- storage: Used to store settings and cached data locally on your device for faster access.
- bookmarks: Required only if you use the "Browser Bookmarks" space to read, create, and organize your browser bookmarks.
- identity: Used to securely sign you in using your Google Account (OAuth2).
- host_permissions: Required to communicate with our secure database (firebaseio.com, googleapis.com).
5. Data Retention and Deletion
- Retention: We retain your data as long as your account is active.
- Deletion: You may delete specific collections or tabs at any time within the Extension. If you wish to delete your entire account and all associated data, you may contact us at thednkdigital@gmail.com. Upon request, we will remove your data from our servers.
6. Publicly Shared Links
If you use the "Share Link" feature, the specific collection data you selected is copied to a public access node. Anyone with the link can view that specific collection. Please be careful not to share sensitive URLs.
7. Data Security
We implement security measures designed to protect your personal information from accidental loss and from unauthorized access. Communication between the Extension and our servers is encrypted using SSL/TLS (HTTPS/WSS). Access to your personal data in the database is restricted by Security Rules to your specific User ID.
8. Children's Privacy
Our Service does not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from anyone under the age of 13.
9. Governing Law
This Privacy Policy shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of Georgia, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
10. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page.
